MSN Messenger , Live Messenger

It's has been increasingly common recently for people to run into some sort of installation or login dysfunction with the latest iterations of msn messenger / Live messenger or whichever name you go by.
I too came across this malfunction when i installed a clean version of Windows XP 64bit with updated SP2 patches while Msn messenger 8.5 worked fine the new install packages for Windows Live messenger (messenger 9.0), Does not install and anyones attempt to install the stand alone msi file will have the displeasure to discover that the login will propt you with some error 800xxxxx or so. The user will tend to try revert back to the previous version only to find that there is no method to uninstall the new live messenger and it does not appear in the windows / Control Panel / Add remove Programs component. There is no way to revert back to messenger 8.5 without first completly removing the malfunctioning Live messenger (msn 9.0). And thus microsft has given us another dilema to sit on. Luckily for us there are community contributing techs ( or geeks with all respects ) who have worked out their own little application to remove msn installations that have stalled or failed, enabling you to re-install a older and working version of msn.
I highly recommend those who have trouble with this issue to check out, alittle tool that helped me called Zapmessenger
You can visit his blog here as well as the download
And for some light reading his blog is worth checking out as he shares his knowledge and raises the unknown awareness of the flaws and vunerabilities of msn messenger and certain tweaks around it.
Kudos to Jonathan.

P.S. The new Windows Live messenger sucks!
